Reviews
Beautiful place, very kind staff. I highly recommend this refuge, especially if you like wilderness around. Of course it's not a 5 stars hotel in the city so I don't understand the negative opinions. If you are looking for luxury rather than beautiful nature it's not for you
Beautiful. Exceptional view
Amazing place by a lake.
Magical hideaway!
Super refuge
I do not recommend this shelter for the following reasons:
-more expensive than other refuges in the region (eg: local beer at €18);
-kitchen and refectory infested with flies;
- upon our arrival, we were offered to sleep, for the same price, in the main dormitory of the refuge accessible by a 90 degree ladder (dangerous for my 4 year old son who needed to pee during the night) or in an uncleaned tent located 100 meters above the refuge in view of a rainy and stormy night;
-at 9:30 p.m., the refectory/living room is transformed into a second dormitory to maximize the number of beds, consequences: summons to go to bed and requisition of wine sold without warning 30 minutes earlier! (with the added bonus of the following comment: "it's been like this for 50 years and if you're not happy you can leave"...);
-in short, we had much better experiences during our stay in this magnificent territory.
We have not tested the accommodation. On the other hand, we were very disappointed by the blueberry pie, certainly not homemade, and it had nothing to do with the blueberry pies eaten in the area. The dough probably came from the supermarket, the cream and blueberries had no taste. Might as well offer something simpler but homemade
Monday, August 28, 2023 was a difficult day, rain for 5 hours, but we finally arrived at the refuge. From a distance it looks magnificent and we are happy to finally be able to drink something hot, change in the shelter and maybe take a shower. This will not be the case, since we will be standing outside while the manager and another person clean the ceiling in the lobby. We will change outside with the cold and the wind and we are still waiting for the hot drinks that we asked for when we arrived!!! For the shower, no need to think about it, it's outside, well I don't even know if we can call it a shower, the water is cold anyway and given the day we've just had it doesn't It is not possible to take a trip there. What a welcome. It's 7 pm, meal, not much to say it's correct (Soup - White rice - lentils - chocolate cake). Before the meal the manager asks us to do a minute of silence, with his team. They take each other's hand and we imagine that they are deep in meditation, we don't know. On the wall a photo with a candle and a rosary underneath. We will have no explanation but everyone is uncomfortable...!!!!!! Finally to tell you everything it was the first time and it will be the last as far as I am concerned. I forgot no possibility of recharging a device, you have to go with your battery.
There is no exaggeration in this story that I lived with my daughter.
